About Joshua Ochoa
I am a Filmmaker and Photographer based in Brisbane, Australia.
As a filmmaker I am driven to share stories. My passion for filmmaking comes from the medium’s ability to challenge viewers, and share voices that can widen their perspectives. I do seek to entertain audiences, but I also approach all projects hoping to create something thoughtful and emotionally engaging. I have work on various short films, music videos, show reels and documented music events as well as being a crew member on TVCs and feature films.
My love of photography began after I finished my Masters of Screen Production, though my obsession with film has continued; photography has become just as big a love of my life too. I love the process of collaborating with interesting people to capture something unique – whether that be fashion, portraits, street photography, landscapes, or events. I also shoot analogue (film!) wherever possible in my personal and freelance work.
And if you are interested, I have combined both of my passions to produce a Youtube channel FramesPerSecond which follows my experiences as a self-taught film photographer.
