“As a filmmaker I believe in the importance of story over all else. Anyone can make something look cool but to make something engaging and emotionally effective is a much harder task. I want to both challenge and entertain my audience and the story is always key to the style I choose to capture it in. I make short films, music videos, record show reel scenes and music events.

As a photographer I love colour, bright, saturated, and varied. But, I also adore the other extreme with black and white, where it’s just the purity of light and shadow. Shooting both Film and Digital, I do portraits, fashion, headshots, street, landscapes, and events. Along with that I combine my two passions by also doing Unit Stills on film shoots.” – Joshua Ochoa
